More than 100,000 California state workers are pushing back against Gov. Gavin Newsom’s mandate requiring them to return to the office four days a week, with a deadline of July 1 rapidly approaching.

Dozens of state employees packed a Senate hearing Wednesday to support a bill that would give agencies more flexibility to set their own telework policies, arguing that remote work saves money, reduces pollution and improves productivity. The Senate labor committee advanced the measure 4-1, though it would not block the governor’s mandate outright.

Newsom has argued the policy will increase government accountability, improve services and help revitalize downtown Sacramento.

AI Has an 80,000-Ton Lithium Problem

From AI data centers to EVs, energy storage demand is exploding, and lithium powers it all.

Now Morgan Stanley estimates the market will face an 80,000-ton shortfall this year alone. With 5X lithium demand growth expected by 2040, the deficit is just starting.

Great timing for EnergyX. Their patented tech can recover up to 3X more lithium than traditional methods in a fraction of the time.

This has earned them a $1B private valuation and investment from leaders like General Motors and POSCO. Now, they hold rights to up to 13M tons of lithium across North and South America.
