Answer: Sriracha. David Tran fled Vietnam aboard a freighter, settled in Los Angeles and began making and bottling his own hot sauce. He named his company Huy Fong Foods after the ship that carried him out of Vietnam, and its distinctive rooster bottle eventually became an American hot-sauce staple.
